Are horseflies the same things as green heads? Man, do I hate those things!! There are certain times of the year when you do NOT want to be too far up the river in the marsh. You will be miserable and even bug spray often doesn’t work on them.

No. If you ever encounter a horsefly, you will never mistake it for any other kind of fly.

Hopefully I'll be gone before it's delivered by FEMA.Reminds me of a documentary I saw years ago. The first time these refugee kids were in a "western" grocery store. You could see the confusion on their faces. All this food, but no farm or pasture anywhere around.They would probably say their food comes from Kroger.
When DD was 8yo she had been deer hunting with DW and myself, had caught enough fish to feed the family for supper, could run the outboard motor and check the trotline with me and grow food in the garden. As she gets older though she becomes more skiddish and helpless.
