Yep, odd question I know.

Well its a fair question to me--thought at least a couple of my new chicks would die since they're so tiny and delicate, or i wouldn't have bought 12. But then a raccoon got 3 last week (almost 10 months later) so it's just as well.

Don't tell people they're wrong for eliminating predators. Having chickens doesn't entitle those racoon and coyotes and that to suddenly get lazy and stop eating the prey they're designed for.

"I HAVE BIRDS. I HATCH AND I RAISE BIRDS. A LOT OF THESE TURN INTO BOYS AND SOME OF THOSE TRY TO ATTACK ME. JUST BECAUSE I BUTCHER, TO FEED MY SELF TOO, NOT JUST DUMP THEM, DOES NOT MAKE ME A MONSTER. NOR DOES IT MEAN I'M A SERIAL KILLER IN THE MAKING. BUTCHERING A MEAN MALE IS DIFFERENT THAN RANDOMLY KILLING SMALL CREATURES FOR JOY!!!"
