Things you wish you could say

I did it, too, in Colorado and New Mexico. Got to know what your car and tires will do on ice. I had one car that would track absolutely straight no matter what, on ice. Could not make it skid, serpentine or donut. Terrified me to think of driving it over Wolf Creek Pass when you NEED it to take curves! I could visualize it going perfectly straight over the edge into the abyss. Got rid of it.
I-40 westbound outta Amarillo, there are two kinda steep grades before you get to the peak just outside Albuquerque…. December winter break ‘97/98 was a really doozy of an ice storm to drive through!

"You're a terrible driver!"

Wait. Did I post this already? 🤔 I still want to say it, but I never will.
I am usually in my vehicle by myself, I say whatever I want while in the vehicle by myself.... I've said far worse and I'm a pretty mild mannered person until it comes to driving ... then get our of my way. Learned from my mother... 🤣

Interesting coincidence... I was just watching a video on how to drive in icy conditions. It's not something that I'm accustomed to, and is something I am likely to encounter at my new place. I hope I don't have to drive in those conditions, but it never hurts to be prepared.
Like my police friends say, "driving too fast for the conditions". It doesn't matter how slow you're going either. If you can't control your car, "it's too fast for the conditions". 😆

Is it just me & my computer, or is something weird going on with the dates?

I just found a thread and I'm reading through it, and I see a post dated January 25, 2021.
But I'm pretty sure today is January 9, 2021.

Is it doing that for anyone else?

Edit to add: thank you to @Hayden Goseek for pointing out my error: this current year is 2022, not 2021. I was looking at a year-old thread, and then I did not look properly at the date on my computer's calendar. Of course I know what year it is, so I just focused on the month & day.

That's a truism but, if every one else can handle it you may want to take a backstreet. :hugs
