I know how to make hens start laying again!

I went outside at midmorning and there were no eggs. So I gave the hens a nice dish of mash (chick starter + water), and a few hours later I got 6 eggs. So I know it really works!

(That situation did happen to me at least once, but I knew what was really happening: the hens had been laying well, but the eggs were showing up a bit later each day, so the mash/eggs timing happened to line up that day. But if anyone is looking for "quick" solutions to make their hens lay again, at least this one shouldn't do any harm. It just won't help either, because it only "works" if the hens already have eggs formed, at which point they are going to lay those eggs regardless of getting mash or not.)

I've heard buckets from a fried chicken place work.

I won't ever use such a thing in my coop. I do not endorse them at all, as they are way too closed source with their pseudo fancy secret seasoning.

Meant to ask before, is that stretch of 95 a toll road or that's just the way it is there?

Used to be a toll road, but it is no longer one.
