The soft ones are irritating and a royal pain. The hard ones are always a surprise OUCH when grooming.

Bunchems look like colorful cockleburs to me, and evidently act exactly like them, too. Photo is from story:

Someone bought those for my daughters and they are as bad as they look. My oldest got about 6 of them stuck in her hair and it took me about an hour to get them all out. Don’t ever buy them or if someone buys them for your kids just throw them in the trash and go get a replacement gift.
