I can engage online perfectly fine -- I meant talking in person.
I do not understand how my younger self was capable of just striking up conversation with anyone who was not an adult. I'm terribly awkward around anyone my age who I haven't known for ages.

It's like holding a grenade with the pin pulled. Something is going to eventually dislodge the paddle, and it won't be pretty.

Safest thing is to avoid at all costs..... that way if and when don't get mixed up. WHEN they do.... you're well away from the danger zone.

That was my youth. Oh wait, that is still me in normal situations.
