On another note, does anyone know what this is? It's about 10 inches long and the one end is a strainer. Found it in a loved ones things after they passed

I think it is for crab boiling or something similar.

Could that be an absinthe strainer? I have several but I have not seen one like that.

If it is, you would hold a sugar cube over an ounce of absinthe and drip cold water over it until the sugar melted.

Tea bag squeezer. After the tea has steeped, pull the tea bag out and squeeze. Drop used tea bag in garbage.
