If you spell your child's name in a "unique" way, or just flat out make it up, don't be offended when I can't pronounce it correctly on the first try.

My niece's boyfriend's name is spelled Schuyler. I did not know this and when my sister mentioned his name through text, I asked if she already had a new boyfriend. She said no, same one. I was so confused.

It's pronounced Skylar. I've called him "Shoe-lur" ever since. I mean that's how it's spelled.
