Cornish is a breed of chicken.
Rock refers to Plymouth Rock, also a breed of chicken.

Neither one is the same as a Cornish Cross aka Cornish Rock.

When you ask for breed recommendations for certain purposes, and I say "you might want to consider Rocks" or "consider standard Cornish," do NOT tell me that you won't consider those awful fast-growing meat hybrids. I am NOT TALKING ABOUT THEM.
