Things you wish you could say

I know you are in distress. I feel like I've supported you. You keep blasting everyone online with 5x day posts for weeks about what's upsetting you and expect complete agreement. Finally, under the sheer volume, I speak up with my one small quibble, but instead of responding directly to me you make a whole new post about "people who think xyz". So, I responded as if you called me by name, in what I thought was a patient manner... and again you talked about what I said, but not to me.
I value you as a person and friend and have told you so. I'm not sure it goes both ways.
But you're upset, so I'm not going to make a bigger deal out of it. For my own sanity, I've hidden your social media posts for 30 days. I can't tell you that.
Stop yelling at your friends about matters they have no control over! It's not "into the ether", people who care about you are listening and being blasted in return.

Just because I am friendly with you online does not mean that we are friends.

I do not now, nor will I ever, have friends here. I call my friends. I talk with them daily and incessantly about everything. I will drop what I am doing at work to speak to them. I do none of that with anyone here. It may seem like I do, but no one here has even begun to scratch the surface. My heart is hardened. You know about me what I want you to know, and nothing more. ✋🏻

I don't care if you're in your 30's. If you're going to act like a child and be ruled by reckless impulsivity, then throw tantrums and lash out at people (who are genuinely trying to look out for you and be there) when you don't like the results, you're in for a long and painful ride. Get over yourself, get control of your reality, and you'll be amazed at the number of opportunities that open up for you.

Do I at least get a C - for effort
