Things you wish you could say

Shoot - Shovel - Shut UP
Aha! When we get the umpteenth, "The neighbor's dog broke into my run and killed all of my chickens," post, outside of the usual, "Call the police," "Reinforce your fence," etc., replies, I have seen someone reply SSS and didn't know what it meant. So darned appropriate!! ☺️ Thank you!

Seeing other people , in my opinion, is highly overrated. Many days the only person I deal with is the Princess, and that's good.
I deal with people all day, but never in person. Rarely even via phone. Mostly slack, email, and conf calls, but even then no one turns on their camera.

I'm retired by about 7 years from the P.D. so outside of the employees, the rest I saw/interacted with were mostly "les désirables." I'll take chickens any day, then hubby when he gets home. The solace all day long is wonderful!

We recently had to all set up "group me: on our phones for work communications.
So far it's only use has been for people to call in and to check for someone to cover their shift.
I still just text the boss if I have a question.

I worked with individuals with multiple initials behind their names. BS, MS, PHD. My father used to refer to these initials as Bull Stuff, More Stuff, Piled High and Deep. Many/most were fine people - others egotistical a'holes. Regardless, I worked in a support position and was forced to deal with them. Generally I maintained my composure, but after one interaction Dr. PHD said to me, "My God, you are as crazy as they say." I replied, "Crazy or not I can make you look good or make you look bad. So far I choose to make you look good." A blessed early retirement saved me. Now when faced with abrasiveness I generally just smile and walk away. Sobriety has helped too. :lau
