When someone follows me, I get a notification, and they appear in the list of my followers. Nothing else seems to happen on my end. (I could probably turn off the notifications, but I haven't bothered.) Most of the people that follow me seem to be fairly new, which makes me suspect they are trying all the options as they become familiar with the site.

Since I haven't followed anyone, I don't know what happens that direction. I'm hoping someone else will give the answer, because I would like to know but don't feel like experimenting right now.

Click news feed. If it isn't turned off you can stalk who you follow and see where and what they've been doing.
You all are amateur stalkers at best.
