Things you wish you could say

I wish I could say that I did not spend my birthday yesterday alone. The only "Happy Birthday" wishes that I got yesterday were from my friends in Beijing, even after mentioning to many people that it was my birthday.

At least now I know who should matter to me, and a lot of people are no longer on that list.

ETA: I do not post this to get weak-ass belated messages. I am saying it to vent.

I'm sorry you had a not very good birthday. Do what I did one year, make your own cake(pie for me) and celebrate how you want. Your birthday really is on April Fool's Day? That fits you, in a good way

To bad you're not old. The older you get the less you want to celebrate birthdays and then eventually you get so old that hell you don't even remember when it is your birthday.

I wish I could say that it’s not going to be cloudy on the eclipse even though we are driving 8+ hours to see it.

And I wish I could sit outside and enjoy this beautiful day without having to listen to the ridiculously loud construction equipment from the next neighborhood over.

And the weather forecast here did not say it was going to rain, so I didn't not go to the track on Easter afternoon to see the funnycars that are only here once a year. I didn't miss my favorite racers because I trusted the weather.

I wish I could say ... my adult daughter has finally got her life together and stopped doing stupid stuff that is also illegal that got her fired from yet another job.
But I will never stop loving her or praying for her because that's what moms do.

On a lighter note .. I wish I had been able to convince her daughter, my GirlChild, that our chickens had actually laid these eggs. April Fool's! But she's no dummy! The bright blue ones were dyed in the water I had cooked purple cabbage in.
