It's not naivity with us, but I'd be horrified!

Marsha, I'd never sell, but if I did sell her or one like her and found out that they ate her, I'd be so appalled! Good grief, get a meat bird! Even the Asian who like the dark meat buy ones like her to breed to show off to the others and lock them up so they don't get stolen. A Mong lady came here for some plants a few months ago and told me all this. They will eat them, but usually cherish and show off the pretty ones.

Same with puppies, young dogs, big dogs. Hell, even cats and kittens. They tape their muzzles and paws and throw them in the cage with the fighting dog. Nobody thinks of that when they list, "Free to good home."
Makes me want to a. Vomit or b. Hurt people or c. All of the above.

That's why it's recommended to charge $5 for the animal, then when they come to get it and pay you, you can give them the $5 back.

We have a person like that here. On fb, anytime someone posts a rooster that they are giving away or a unwanted hen they are the first to say "ILL COME PICK IT UP" on lots of posts, there is no way she keeps them. There was rumors she auctions what she can and what doesn't sell she let's the dogs chase and kill....
