Things you wish you could say

Cinnamon

Okay, I can say cinnamon. But I didn't used to be able to.
Made me really loathe when I had to refer to an animal by its name, Cinnamon.
I can say it. But I prefer to call it CinmanYum. Especially when referring to my amazing sweet rolls.

Okay, it's spelled legHORNS, but I say, I say it's pronounced Leggerns.

Never, never going to leave my mouth!
There needs to be a reasonable justification for words pronounced differently than the spelling or I speak the spelling, so there!

I seem to be fast approaching the stage where I speak my mind - many times I have to stop myself though, after all I am not quite an old lady yet!

Forget the arbitrary rules. I used to say my brother would finally grow up in his 30's. Didn't happen, he's worse now.
The scariest thing ever was my mom saying she had obtained the age to finally speak her mind, when she's been doing so all along.
Conclusion: People become more of whatever they already are as they age.
When you speak what you think, just make sure it comes out in a way you'd be comfortable with someone speaking to you, then you have no guilt while being free of silly rules.

I wish I could say, I have some idea how to sort through 40+ juveniles when I have no pen space left to shift keepers to...
I haven't been putting it off and they aren't exploding like popcorn...
The death ray laser in the sky isn't trying to roast me for supper...
I have a new coop built and we aren't sitting around moaning about the heat...
Our AC thermostat was working right so we didn't have to manually turn it back to fan and back to cool to keep it from icing up...
And I didn't get yelled at for not fixing all those problems in one day without a team meeting on how to tackle it.

I'd never say anything to delibrately hurt someone's feelings, and that has nothing to do with being "PC." It has to do with treating people the way I want to be treated. But I no longer suffer fools gladly, either.
I’m going to need some of those for proof 🙂
Let me know if you want me to pm you the recipe! ;)

But that's what PC actually is! It used to be called Polite. Then people decided being polite and considering others feelings was something to put down, so they invented a label they could use with a sneer.

If you believe in the Golden Rule then you are PC and that's totally cool and the way we all should have been taught to behave.

There's plenty of ways to speak one's mind without being inconsiderate. It helps to have a good vocabulary and a creative mind, like you do. But the most essential ingredient is an empathetic heart, which you also have.
