The green and striped green on my long Ethernet cable running across the floor must have taken some damage. Because of that, I could not access my network storage device (essentially the cloud but only for home).

I wish I could say that I'm not restoring from cloud backups because I dropped not only my main portable backup aggregation drive, but I'm also dropping sectors on my main fileserver and have lost data.

I have all the data (thank you Backblaze). I just need to pull from a couple spots to re-seed the backup disk, and then Friday I'm ordering drives to rebuild the storage array on the fileserver.
3/2/1 backups are lifesavers, folks.

As a photographer, writer, and artist, This is my life's work. Losing it is not an option. BTDT once and I still have a gap from 2002-2005 I will never get back. The cloud backup service I use is cheap insurance and "just works" once set up.
