Things you wish you could say

All my Christmas shopping is done 🫠
Actually, what I really wish I could say is that Christmas hasn’t become such a monetized holiday. I wish it wasn’t “normal” to get people things they likely don’t need or could get for themselves. I’ve been stressing out so much about finding the “perfect gift” for some people, and that’s really not what Christmas is about. It’s about finding joy in the fact that God sent His Son to earth to die for us, poor sinners that we are. Somewhere along the line, mainstream America has lost the true meaning of Christmas.

👍🏼 Exactly! And very well said! Forget the gifts that can be wrapped. Be the Drummer Boy. ❤️

I never knew people did that until I got older.

You could get real artists, people who put genuine care into their work to do this for you. You could support them by hiring them to make something that you could sell to support you and the artists.

Instead, you've put a slop machine there and encouraged the use of a thing that takes away from artists.

It's not "creativity" or "masterpieces". They're not things you made. They're things made by a souless, hot, loud, and environment-ruining machine. It's missing the beauty of what a real artist can do.

You are saying exactly what Christmas is about these days . The TV is going crazy with sales and sales for Christmas stuff. I stopped doing Christmas gift many years ago, enough already. I just give each person a nice juicy mango, no wrapping. No stress for me, friendly for the environment, healthy to eat it, and Christmas is so much enjoyment.

For us over here Christmas is summer and it is mango season, we have many varieties of mango and a box of 30 cost A$25. Mango look beautiful, juicy and very tasty to eat.
