We got one of those McMurray hatchery catalogs in the mail.

Guess what?

Despite the fact they could have gotten someone to take a nice pretty photo for the cover, you know what it has instead?

AI generated imagery. If you have one, look at the girl's hands. You will see two protrusions where there shouldn't be anything.

Disgusting.

Look again, there are no extra parts. The left hand shows the palm bulging just as it does when a handle bar is gripped like that. The supposed extra part on the inside of the left hand is her thumb just as it would show when photographed from that angle.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'm buying that that's the fatty part of the palm. It looks like it has an extra knuckle above it. Not the end of the world either way though.

If you push up on the edge of your hand from below, you will see how far out your palm bulges.

Look again, there are no extra parts. The left hand shows the palm bulging just as it does when a handle bar is gripped like that. The supposed extra part on the inside of the left hand is her thumb just as it would show when photographed from that angle.

But I count four non-thumb fingers, and then an extra chunk that looks like she has a partial extra little finger, or maybe had a full extra one and then it was amputated. I can clearly see where the joint of that extra finger is, in a nice row along the top of the handle bar, neatly lined up with the ones from the normal fingers.

My problem with AI imaging being used for advertising is that I can't trust that the products will be even remotely like the picture. I know that photos are often colour enhanced and such, but AI images make me not want to buy.

Nope, it is the palm being spread out.

There is AI used but it is the chicken added in the front.
