Things you wish you could say

You might be surprise to learn how interesting it is to do juror duty.
It takes 12 people to decide the outcome so you are not alone doing it. ❤️ ❤️ It has to be beyond reasonable doubt!

Edit to add: Over here it pays per day ~ $150 plus meals ~$14 and transportation cost. - this exclude car parking.
These are taxable income.
I have no problem doing my civic duty. This is not the first time I've been called to the jury selection process. But my granddaughter drives for me. I'm not willing to risk our lives trying to drive on these icy roads.

All of this talk about jury duty makes me wish I could say that I hadn't been so dang close to the events of the Polly Klaus kidnapping.

1 - Her mother was my boss when it happened.
2 - I was driving home from Cloverdale when I saw a bunch of police cars and officers on the side of the freeway. That was when they found her body.
3 - When the trial was about to happen, I was one jury number away from "reporting to a special location." I'm pretty sure that would have been the Richard Allan Davis trial. I would have been disqualified due to my knowing some of the people involved.

In NJ, you get paid $5 per day. That is neither a typo nor joke. I wish I could say it was!
