Think I moved my 1 month olds outside too early, heavy losses

I am in texas it stays pretty warm here but raining lately. I normally do not move them out to the coop until they have fully feathered and when they can fend for them self.

I am sorry about your little chicks. I am over in Blountstown! We're neighbors. I had a handicapped cat almost drown in that storm that came through yesterday. Glad you saved the others.

It would more than likely be the dampness, I'd bet

I've had day olds out in the 'baby coop' from their first day alive after hatching in July, never lost one.

well, we moved them all inside. They are just 4 weeks old. This rain everyday is miserable!
