Thinking about culling all of my Leghorns

I bet there is some really good eats for those leghorns in the hedge.

It is also a cool place and mostly free from predators.

They sound pretty smart

i love the idea of putting a nest box out where the girls run, i may try that. my method is to keep them cooped (with large run and barn area) until it's after egg laying time.

i also didn't like my leghorns when they were teenagers but now that they're patient egg layers we get along quite well. they are friendly and curious just like the rest of my hens, just from a step back. i hope you give them a chance

mine all let me pick them up and inspect them no questions asked (and I think they love me too)

I just might keep the hens, there are only seven. There is an old single hole unit outhouse grown up in the hedge, that I might put some nest boxes in for them. Putting a tote/nest near the hedge might work too. They might also, choose to stay nearer the rest of the flock when we cull the roosters.
