Hi. I’ve been wanting to get a pair of Brown Chinese Geese or a pair of Egyptian Geese. If I end up getting Chinese geese I plan on showing them.

Do geese need a different feed compared to ducks?

And I know that Egyptian geese are extremely aggressive and territorial in breeding season. But I’m wondering if your able to show them in Australia.

Unfortunately not being in Australia I'm not sure if you can show the Egyptians. However from what I know they don't do well with other birds, so if you get them you'll want a whole separate pen and coop for them, so that's something to consider.

Geese can eat the same feed as ducks, along with lots of grass, since they are naturally grass eaters. If you can let them out to forage, a lot of times they'll eat mostly just grass and not even touch feed.

Yeah I know Egyptian geese are probably one of the most territorial geese as well as Canada geese in breeding season (got no experience with them but I’ve seen videos). And thanks.
