I'm getting the coturnix as well because there's no point in harvesting buttons. It's hard now though unless you want tonstaet with eggs because almost everyone unsold oitnof all the animals and most eggs they're selling

Where do you post online to sell your quail? I'm still looking around but I don't see that many resources. I did find a Facebook group though. In my experience (I'm in CA), there's a serious market for Coturnix quail, but not for buttons. Especially during this weird time, a lot of people are looking for ways to be more self sufficient, so they want something that will provide them with food.

Well, sounds like it's going to be coturnix quail lol. If I can figure out how to sell them before having to make a permanent pen then I'll be all set.I'd go with coturnix. Not because I've found there ever to be a problem selling button quail, but because the chicks are bigger, hardier and easier to raise. Not that that's saying much!! They're still tiny!!
But button quail chicks ... well, they can fit on a button, and drown in a milk cap.
I have a facebook ad, a facebook page, and I also post on craigslist. The FB customers are more reliable, but I get more responses from craigslist. I'm lucky enough to be pretty much the only person who has quail in the North SF Bay Area.Where do you post online to sell your quail? I'm still looking around but I don't see that many resources. Thanks! I'll check those out. I'm trying to plan out when I should get the eggs to when I can sell them. I'd like to be able to out more often before starting to sell, maybe mid or late July.I have a facebook ad, a facebook page, and I also post on craigslist.
