Thinking about turkeys........(please help me think)

I have been thinking about getting2-3 pet turkeys l am thinking if l get them l will get blue slates.
Is there any one who can tell me about black head.
Can turkeys be kept safely with chicken once they are full grown
Those are just two of my questions but I will ask more in a bit

I have raised and kept turkeys with my chickens, as have many others. The black head risk depends on your area. If you have neighbors with turkeys you could ask if they've had issues, and you can also contact your local ag department (though take what they say with a grain of salt as they often give textbook answers, in my experience).

Turkeys are wonderful and I don't think you will be disappointed.

I have always kept my turkeys with my chickens and guineas.

I have not had a problem yet and have been doing it for a long time.

I guess I have been lucky so far ??????

So far so good here, my turkeys do fine with my flock of chickens, geese, Guinea fowl, and ducks.

None of my birds are for meat, they're all pretty tame, the tamest though are indeed my turkeys. So tame you can pet and hold them.
