Thinking niacin deficiency...

Yes...and there are tons of different forms of niacin....so nutritional yeast or brewers yeast will work fine, because they both supply niacin...and help the problem not come back. When the problem is corrected get all flock...it has niacin in it, but I supply with extra so they are getting the exact right amount( I just sprinkle it on the food). Yes you do need b-complex with out flush free niacin. Which I see you have gotten so good job!
I have no idea what flush free really means....@Miss lydia?
Niacin will make your face flush - go red and hot.

Ok this is what I found on the web with the search of "what is flush free of niacin"?

Niacin is used to treat and prevent a lack of natural niacin in the body, and to lower cholesterol and triglycerides (types of fat) in the blood. ... Niacin can cause certain side effects, such as flushing (warmth, itching, redness, or tingly feeling under your skin).Aug 29, 2018

Thank you all! Gave him his first dose this morning and he gobbled it up. (What duck doesn't like meal worms? :p)

Huh, didn't know that about the flush free. Glad I'm learning about this stuff.

Also: a picture of the duck, who we have dubbed 'Hop Along', poor thing :gig

All Flock is $12.89 for a 50lb bag where I live, I highly suggest you switch from scratch to an All Flock, like casportpony already said.

And try to find a B liquid without the flush-free niacin. If you can't find a liquid, but can find a tablet, I'd get that and grind them up then mix with water.
6 dollars a bag less than it is here. Wow

HAHA...but seriously...I have No idea what it means...
To flush means to go red and hot in the face. You feel warm, your face turns red. You're "flushed." The cheaper form of niacin will cause this to happen when you take it, so they've made another form of it which DOESN'T cause you to flush when you take it, and they call that Flush-Free Niacin.
