Thinking niacin deficiency...

To flush means to go red and hot in the face. You feel warm, your face turns red. You're "flushed." The cheaper form of niacin will cause this to happen when you take it, so they've made another form of it which DOESN'T cause you to flush when you take it, and they call that Flush-Free Niacin.
OHHHHH...I thought it was a joke...ok sorry! Thanks!

Update on the duck. I started dosing him with the B complex on the 10th of November, so he's had 16 doses. I give it to him once a day. So far, I haven't seen much improvement. His limp is still there, but he can walk faster and it is less pronounced. This happened around the beginning of the doses, now, it's been around the same.

I don't think a duck would have a one-leg limp due to niacin deficiency, I mean, I had a duck with legs trouble from niacin deficiency, and his trouble were pigeon-toe legs (B), leg shuffling, weak legs and unsteady gait, and wide-apart legs (C). This same duck would alternate between gait B and gait C. (usually B for some time after a bath, and C the rest of the time.)

Maybe if you can post a photo or video of the limp it would help others with more experience (not me!) help judge whether it's niacin deficiency or not. It doesn't have to be your own photo/video, just find a comparable one online if it's easier for you.

Well, the whole reason I began to even suspect niacin deficiency was because he started to limp with both legs. For a while he was just favoring his left, and so I thought I just needed to give it time to heal. Then one day he began to use the left leg to mainly support him while walking, and he started limping with his right as well. However, he still favors the left when standing still.

I've check him several times, feeling his legs, checking for bumblefoot. I don't feel any hotness/swelling or saw any bumblefoot, so I asked on here and thought he somehow sprained it without any visible signs. I even just checked him out again this morning. Nothing.

The other thing is, is he doesn't really look like any of those ducks when walking...He's so baffling. I went to go get a video, since I had literally just come in from taking care of everyone outside...and figures he flew off. :barnie (The ONE time he doesn't hang around) I can try to find a video, or just wait until later or tomorrow morning to get a video of him. Sorry. I should've taken one sooner.

That's a pretty substantial limp. If mine he would be grounded for a while and limited running around along with the b complex for support just to see if that makes a difference. Such a pretty boy.
