My husband also suggested a bench for reaching those heights. We will see if he is still motivated when the time comes for that. I think we are leaving the existing stair where they are to help clean out that side. My nesting boxes are going to be on the floor where the climbing wall emptied onto. We will have a lip and a flip open door for collecting. We have started on the process of the conversion.
