Thinking of Moving...

I can't even think of anyone I know from Idaho that does not want to move back

and many come and go. Boise seems to get very high marks with folks that have moved to the Portland/Vancouver area. I just can't entertain living some place without driving access to the ocean

DH was born in Idaho but loves it on the west side of the Cascades.

Sounds like us....we love the ocean too.

We liked Nevada so much we moved there to Reno for a year. Came back for kids.

We would love to have a second home in Arizona or Texas? for the winter months.

Oh yeah and Mariners are good too!

Grew up in Pa, love love love it...yes you have to go to the distributer for beer but have never had a limit placed on my purchase. Have bought cases to kegs.

Lived in Md for 20+ years near Dc and Annapolis, would not move back if it can be avoided. People there are stuffy, rude, and self absorbed.

Currently live in East Tennessee and it's just like Pa with a southern twang.

Have lived in several places in Florida, my favorite place so far is Naples. The Gulf side of the state is beautiful

Central and Southern are ok. I wouldn't want to live near Chicago though.
Our town has about 200 (maybe more or less) some people living here. Most of the people live in the country.

Cross Mississippi off your list, you would melt. I have very little actual hands on experience in the state I am going to recommend, but I really like it.

Cigars, bourbon and horse racing, I like Kentucky.

Ca is very expensive. We live in Orange county, and it's crazy how much it costs but for So cal, it's the nicest county(im biased), schools are better than LA, Inland empire but you get what you pay for. People come here for the weather, the beach, diversity. but there is a ton of traffic, people aren't very neighborly. there is good and bad in every city/town. I think if you don't have kids and can find a job, and can test out a place, go for it, and if you hate it find another place. I would love to move, but couldn't imagine being anywhere else. I think I would miss the beach, the weather, disneyland, mexican food, fresh produce..crazy I know.

I just love horse races. I always have since I was a kid.

Me too, remember to always bet on the grey horse no matter what the odd are.
