Thinking of raising chickens

Its true. I am reluctantly admitting that. I never thought I would be a "chicken" person, but I am sooooo in love with them now. And yes we do eat them, but still. They are tooo fun to watch.


Someone else recently asked the same/similar question, I suggest you read through that thread as well. I know I posted in there about using temp shelter until you decide for sure. I am still using my temporary shelter, can't wait to build a "real" chicken coop...getting great ideas on here

For me, chickens are no harder to care for than parrots. I think they are easier to care for than most animals. One plus over other birds is you can keep them outside. Giving chickens plenty of room should help keep the poo down
