Thinking outside the box, breed suggestions~Update pg 8~

More than likely the one I get will be the Black and Red color, because the kennel I'm getting my next dog from has that color and none of the puppy pics I have seen are merle pups. I think they are beautiful either way, and I am super excited about it. I have to save up money though. That was another part of our discussion was to get our savings account back up to $5000 before getting the dog.

The breeder I have choosen prices her puppies from 2500 down to 1200, depending on drive levels, temperament and conformation. I would love to do some AKC conformation, but really want to do SchH and AKC OB. This breeder has some outstanding dogs from her kennel, and one of which is actually a Beauc who is FRIII, a therapy dog, family dog and I have met him a couple times -- He is exactly the temperament I am looking for, and this kennel is known to produce. Also this kennel is very up on health testing!

Nice choice! A good one can be an extremely versatile dog. Unfortunately I've seen more junk than jewels of the breed. I wouldn't own one but if I were in the market, there is only one breeder in this country I would seek out & that is Debbie Skinner.
