I don't know why I subscribed to the thread but didn't get an email that someone had posted??? Thanks for your help and the good wishes. I am still on the fence as to if I will take the turner out or not... And I might put the sponges in a bowl of water with a piece of screen on top. Not sure on that either. I might just go ahead and open it twice a day to wet the sponges like I am now, it only takes a minute. Since today is day 9, I still have time to decide. I really appreciate everyone's input. Just out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on keeping buttons in a barn? I live in New Hampshire, and it gets very cold in the winter. The room in the barn is draft-free, but I am thinking that I will have to provide heat for the winter.... any thoughts?
