~*Third Annual Cinco de Mayo Turkey Hatch-Athon*~ all poultry welcome!

This is my colorful bunch of chicken eggs I set yesterday. I don't think I posted a picture when I posted breed totals.

ok so i now have my egg's set for this HAL :bun I i thought they where never going to get here i hope everything turns out aright i know for sure that i have a moveing air cell in the last bantam egg on the left but i'm optomsitc that everything will be ok because i have heard of people hatching out chicl in egg's with moving air cells. but my true question is about the blue bantam egg the pic's do it little justice I have to say in the years i have been working with chickens i have never seen a blue chicken egg now i have seen amost every other colour but not blue i really hope that one hatches out i love love to see what breed it is. Does anyone know what breed it could be?
Where did you get the blue egg from? It is most likely an aracuna or an EE.

I just put in 8 guinea eggs for my first hatching ever. They are 8 eggs laid by my own guineas. I'm late for a cinco de mayo hatching but thought I'd swing by anyway. :) Good luck all!

I have 9 eggs set under my broody hen and another 12 eggs in the incubator! i set them late last evening hoping that I would hear back about hatching eggs I paid for but haven't received yet but no word so it will just be my own flock i hatch from.

My broody hen will be hatching her second clutch on her birthday - she was born last Cinco de Mayo and went broody again for this one.

She was always the friendliest chicken in the flock, even as a pullet.

i have been debaiting if getting a broody hen for my next hatch would be better then useing a incubator is there a differance in hatch rate between the two?

I wanted to order bantams with my RIR's from meyers but all they had for the date i wanted them shipped was the assorted bantam egg's so i have no clue what thay gave me bantam egg wise idk mabye they have a bantam sized aracuna or EE

Look on their website and see what breeds they have. Then see which of those lay blue eggs.

I cannot really give you a percentage because my first hatch with a broody was poor but I only set 6 eggs that were partially developed via incubator first. My incubator hatches have been very successful. We'll see with this hatch!

The biggest factor for me wanting to use a broody is not needing to use a heat lamp and brooder box to raise them.
