I guess I don't understand why she would squish them, my turkey chicks aren't any bigger than my standard chicks are.

Well u know neither r mine. Lol Guess I just was thinking about the little Silkie babies r SOOO tiny!! But she would probably be gentle enough. She still hasn't totally committed, so guess it may not matter. She set from 6pm last night to 330pm this afternoon, only getting up once for 35 minutes. I've been STALKING her!!! LMBO Anyway, she is setting longer each day. I usually set my incy every Friday, so maybe by then she will be ready and I can keep her an the incy on schedule together. Lol

Okay, I just set a total of 12 turkey eggs just now. Had the pull out the crummy Little Giant incubator for room, since I packed my brinsea mini and my new rcom incubator won't arrive for a couple days yet. I hope the LG cooperates.

I got your eggs today Arielle! Thank you thank you thank you! All arrived safely. I'll probably add chicken eggs too on the 14th.

My goose has great timing. She started sitting in 5 duck eggs and one of her own today. Hers will be infertile because I have no gander. I still don't have a empty incubator so the turkeys will be few days behind the group.

Turkey eggs are set-- mixed breeds and Bourbon Reds. 46
Muscovy ducks eggs 2 plus whatever is collected this week.

I'm debating about a couple dozen olive eggers. . . .

Im going to set my turkey eggs in the morn. I just had chicks finish hatching and just cleaned the hatcher. I will put more chicken eggs in lockdown in the hatcher tomorrow morn to make room for setting turkey eggs in the incubator.

Six BR eggs set under 4 broody bantam chocolate Orps. I am hoping for a couple more eggs tomorrow to set with them. My girls are just not laying consistently yet - but all 3 are laying!

I got 14 turkey and 22 duck eggs set. Shocked I had that many duck eggs. I only have 2 females and I collected for 8 days. They were busy!

Everyone else get there eggs set? This is my first year doing this hatch-athon and eager to see how many are set.

Well, um, non of us can really count. So we never really have a total set count. Maybe you or someone can add them up, but it's never really been done before.

The brief history of the Cinco de Mayo turkey hatchathon :
It started during the Mahonri 3rd annual Easter Hatch A Long. People started discussing hatching turkeys after that hatch.That year if turkeys were set on Easter they would happen to hatch on Cinco de Mayo. Chooks Chick stepped up and started the turkey hatchathon thread. A few people that had been assisting with the Easter hatch joined and it became a more relaxed, enjoyable, and a rather safe place for them. Away from the contest and deadlines, etc. It doesn't mean there won't be a contest if somebody decides to start one. Now it's time to get back into my jacket and take my medicine. Good night all.

WOOT XD this is my first year too and boy am i nervous i wish i had room for turkeys i would love to have one or two but i'll be setting 6 eggs on the 14th (well hopefull before that...) 3 Rhode island reds and 3 assorted bantams i have never seen a duck hatch youtube time!!! >.<
