Candled tonight and pulled 1 clear egg. Still leaving the blood ring and the saddle air sacks in.

mine hatche okay. That may have been the one that needed some assistance but even so its a healthy chick nowOk awesome! I'm concerned because the air cell is so big. I'm afraid when I raise the humidity the chick will run out of sac and hatch too early.
I'm up to 55 of 60 definitely developing eggs. One I'm concerned might be a sleeper. Its kind of dry and bumpy on the outside, I don't want to pull it yet because there is development but it keeps changing color and the outside is very rough. I'll have to take a pic of it later
Its not actually seeping. Just concerned that it might. Its a weird looking egg. Looked normal when I put it in. Here's the pic of it beside one of the normal ones. All the "specks" are the actual texture not color.Toss it now before it explodes! Leakers never develop chicks. They are full of bacteria that is making them leak.
Ahhh those girls . . . . . they can be very sneaky!! Do you have an incubator?? If you do, you might try putting them in and see if they hatch. . . otherwise, it is what it is. Sorry. As you said live and learn.Well my new RP hen finally started laying. Awhile ago apparently!! Day b4 yesterday I found 7 of her eggs under my broody that is due to hatch tomorrow!!! Bad part is, she had pushed aside quite a few of the eggs she'd been suppose to be sitting on, & now, idk what may or may not hatch! I've never seen my RP anywhere near the brooder nest, & she wasn't laying yet, so I thought, so I never thought to check there! Grrrr Oh well, live & learn I guess.

If it begins to look like it has dots of syrup stuck to the outside get it out of there quick.
Will do. Any ideas on why its turning rough like that? It started out smooth like a normal egg. I've never had one change on me before. If it begins to look like it has dots of syrup stuck to the outside get it out of there quick.
