Third time around Tampa Bay Area Chicken Swap - Saturday, January 28th

I'm so glad I heard from you!! I PM'd the two other people advocating for Pinellas to get this coordinated, and never heard back from them. I was just about to see if I could find some other way to get ahold of people involved in this effort. Please do post it, that was part of the motivation to have one here! Do you need a flyer to send to the Commission? I was going to work on one this evening. PM me and let me know what you need.

Liexicof - I believe there was someone looking for slikies earlier on this thread, and I may be interested in an Orpington. We'll see! (I really shouldn't, but you know how that goes........

I'll be putting signs up in the feed stores and pet stores this week.

Our little chicken swap is going to be mentioned on WFLA channel 8 news tomorrow morning- wake up at the crack of dawn, or set your DVR's for the 5:30 or 6:30 spot! We should have some good attendance, folks!

Just a suggestion... You may want to add the swap date in the thread topic. I know it's posted in the first post.

First ever Tampa Bay Area Chicken Swap!! Sat. Nov. 6th.

On your first post #1, click on Edit at the lower right side. When the edit box comes up, go up to the Subject field at the top and you can make your changes.

This is a quote from Nifty-Chicken. He suggested it to me once.

I have a friend that may be interested in Barred Rocks - anybody have some to bring to the swap?

It looks like I will have a few Blue Plymouth Rocks, maybe one pair and one pullet. Not sure just yet, but I'll update when I can tell a little more definately.

Is there any interest in coturnix jumbo quail? They lay better than most chickens, make no noise, hatch in only 17 days, lay eggs in less than 2 months of age (chickens 5/6 months) can be kept in outdoor cages in Fl backyard. No limit to 5 hens or whatever as is the case with chickens. Great for superior eggs and meat.

Perfect bird of the future. They make great pets, naturally tame, they have been domesticated for thousands of years.

I have bunch of them coturnix jumbo brown and white (Texas A&Ms).

Does your pet gives you breakfast every day? Mine do, (more delicious egs than I can eat).

I am not just trying to sell a few birds (I will eat all extras I have, they are super gourmet and organic meat).

I am trying to help people who want safe and tasty eggs and meat to raise on their own, promoting a species which can be easily raised in a backyard with no restrictions, and no potential annoyance to neigbhoors, Coturnix quail is the answer for super organic eggs and meat in your own backyard .
