Third time around Tampa Bay Area Chicken Swap - Saturday, January 28th

PM me with your regular e-mail - I have some of them from the petition list, but not all. One of the non-BYC folks wanted to start a club, so anyone who is interested send me an e-mail address.

Ha! I'm in St. Pete too....not far away at all. Just off of 38th ave. Hope the swap was a success!

I am originally from St Pete. When I was young I lived on Pass-a-Grille. When I got married I moved to the Tyrone area. A little over 10 years ago we moved to Dunnellon, near Ocala

Welcome, Junglegal!!
Cmom-Pass-a-grill is one of my favorite beaches! I worked at M-T-Bellies for two years while I went to college - remeber that place?

We didn't have enought vendors at the swap, due to several unforseen circumstances, as well as the cold weather. I am planning on hosting another one in the Spring. I had a lot of new or wanna be chicken owners that are planning on starting their flock in the Spring. We had a great day time just talking chickens and meeting, though. PM me with your regular e-mail and I'll add you to my list, and send out a message soon. A few people wanted to start a chicken owner's club just to get together once in a while.

I don't remember M-T-Bellies. It may have not been there when I lived there. I moved off of the beach in 1976. I lived on 7th street behind Shadracks.

We are so sorry we missed the day. I thought it was going to be in December and logged in today to make certain I knew the date. If we had known it was the 6th of November, we still would have missed it due to previus obligations, one of which was getting our run and coop done before Thanksgiving. That was acomplished on Wednesday night at 8:30pm. We put one of our girls in and then packed for our trip up North for the holiday. Back today and added roosts in the run and added a second girl to the coop. We are doing this slowly to make certain everyone plays nice.

Looking forward to your next meet. It will be fun. Also, if you start something local, let me know. I am in Pinellas Park with 5 hens (who had better start laying soon.

Okay, folks, I'm going to give it another shot - April 2nd. We should have plenty of Spring chicks to bring, right? Let me know if this is a good date for those of you that would like to bring chicks or chickens to sell, as I definately want to make sure I have more vendors this time. I had quite a few people last time that said they will be ready to get chickens this spring, so I will let them all know about it. We had a great time just chatting about chickens at the last one. I'll probably have some eggs to sell, but no chicks this time. And some treats, of course. Hope you can make it!
