Third time around Tampa Bay Area Chicken Swap - Saturday, January 28th

I didn't really keep track. I've got quite a few coming to learn about chickens, some that are buying, and I don't know how many are selling. We have some wood here, but if you want to bring more, GREAT!

Was on my way but had a flat tire. Just got home and got the tire fixed but it's after 10am and it would be around 12:30 (2½ hr drive one way) before I would get there so won't be able to make it.

I was looking forward to coming as I am originally from St Pete. Hubby was going visiting while I was swapping.

i am so sorry i missed this! I loaded kids up & they were screamimg cause my car has no heat!!! I also got a 19 month old last night. I had to make a judgement call for my sanity. It would have been misery if i forced them !!

I have so much to get rid of and that sucks big time!! darn COLD WEATHER

I feel horrible cause i really was excited to come down to Tampa. Filled the car with gas, oil & goodies. Just 4 kids flippin out i thought i would kill myself by the time i got there.

Please, please have another one cause i sooo wanna come down & check out your place and VW. Maybe we can just meet up anyways some day. Camping @ destota dec 10-12. Let me know if you get a spot cause i have one & can split it!!!

peace out,
Heather

That was too bad! I can totally understand, especially with a new 19 month old! Even with the sparse turn out, the people that came had a great time looking at my own chickens and learning about them, and the 4-H club girls ended up with a pigeons. I have also ended up with one, and one that was in a tree we were hoping would come down and hop in the cage so we could trap it, but it flew off. Sold my Rocks. My friend is willing to go to your place for some of your chicks. He got two of my 4-week olds, so if you have any that are around the same size, let me know. He wants to by 6-8 more. Or if you want to get to gether and come down some time you can bring some for him.
I have other friends (and new friends!) that want to get some in the spring, so maybe I'll have another one then. It didn't turn out quite like I had expected, but it was still a lot of fun.

Thanks for putting this together, I snuck in and out...hehehe...I was in a bit of a hurry, but I did get to tak to your better 1/2 ( I think he was your significant other)...I enjoyed looking at your coop and girls!!!!!

i have OEGB ,jungle fowl( ordered these, not sure if pure)adults. also some mixed bantam oegb that have the spangled gene. All about 2 months old or so.....

I have 10 RIR, 8 brown leghorns & 3 Barred rocks( all male) that need to go...about 2 months old & came from a breeder friend. Reds are pretty dark but not mahagony. My friend also has cornish rock that are brown & blackish color, forget their color name....darn!
