This chicken is not dead

Yesterday I had a rough day. The day before one of my 7yo hens was up under my lower coop. She does that a lot to keep cool. Its in a secure run so I don't worry too much but she usually comes out when I fill the feeders. She is a big, chunky brahma girl and loves to eat. Yesterday she was in the same place so got down on the ground and reached as far as I could and could just barely touch her feathers. She didn't move. I went and got tools to take a wall down and pull up a couple of floor boards so I could get to her, to burry her.
I put all the chickens out in the run and got started. I got one wall mostly down and felt someone pulling on my jeans. Guess who? I was so hot and sweaty but I was thrilled she was alive!
