Brown Leghorns have a very specific pattern to their down, and your chick doesn't have it, although she could be a cross of that breed. It's fun to guess but I really think you are going to have to give it time to see what develops. It's a cutie though-- that much is certain.

The clue is in asking the person who gave you the eggs what other breeds they keep.

Ive asked him, says only silkies .. only when i figure out the breed can i truly explain where on earth he came from, im just so confused right now.

He ONLY keeps silkies???

Maybe this is a throwback to something in its parents genes that isn't silkie but doesn't show in them (phenotype).
