Has anyone heard that it's going to be an El Nino year later this summer? Meaning more rain than usual? A coworker said she heard it on the news but I haven't.

That would be very welcomed - bring it on. This 100 degree temp with 80% humidity and no rain in several weeks is kiling everything. I'm out there all day long just trying to keep animals, gardens (vegetable & flower), orchards, etc. alive. Our pond is nearly dried up and we will lose all our fish if it doesn't rain soon. Today I noticed the regular trees and shrubbery withering. Thank the Lord the gnats are finally gone - they were a lethal combination.
