That's a lot of heat!

Hottest it's been in the house this year is 90 degrees. Was at 88 in the house most all day yesterday, even at 1am it was still 85 degrees. I was out in the sun in the garden most all of the day so even being in a fairly warm house felt good as long as the fan was blowing. Sure makes you appreciate a cool shower.

I don't do anything special for the chickens or the dog. If we can hack it, so can they.

Today, for the first time in two weeks, it is only expected to be 97 today. It has been stinkin hot and humid and I am in the CA desert. The monsoons around here suck the life out of a person.

The monsoons are good to us. Had rain everyday since Wed of last week. It got a little warm a couple days but the storms come in the afternoon round 2 and cool everything off real nice. May and June were just dry as a bone. Nice to see the pastures green again.
