Before I give this one up, I want confirmation that this Ameraucana is indeed a little cockerel. About 9 weeks old.

Okay, my opinion would be that it's a pullet. I have a little 9 week Ameraucana that has a larger, redder comb than that one and the colors just don't fit a cockerel. JMO!! ;)

I'm not going to venture a guess without a better, closer pic. Need head shot front and side please.

Sorry that he (?) looks a little dirty in his body shot. there was some poop on him and my daughter took a wipe and wiped him down, leaving a dingy look. The comb throughs me a little on this one. It has three rows at the top, but not all the way down. This one is also quite a bit smaller than my other Ameraucana definite cockerel of the same age, and MUCH smaller than my SLW cockerels (also same age...all 4 had the same hatch date). But I also think it looks like there are saddle feathers growing in??? Although I have an Easter Egger that is almost 2 years old that as a lot of swoopy-ish looking feathers that almost look like smaller saddle feathers. All that to say, I think a boy on this one, but I'm just not 100% certain.

That's what I thought. Such a bummer. I ended up with a ton of Roos this year. Both my Ameraucanas are boys. :(
