This is a rooster… right?!

I have 2 chickens that hatched in May (4 months old) from eggs a friend gave me. She is convinced that they are both hens, because there hasn’t been any crowing yet… but the first 2 photos (same bird) have feathers, thick legs, and bright comb that scream rooster to me. Am I crazy? The bird in the first 2 pictures is probably a rooster, right?

Just for reference the third picture is the other chicken that hatched from the same batch of eggs… they supposedly have the same father.

I look forward to hearing everyone else’s opinions!

Beautiful roosters.

The first bird has all the feather of a rooster, definitely a rooster
The second bird tall long tail is a rooster.
I am no expert, as far as I know those are roosters.

The irony here is that I purchased 3 “premium pullets” from TSC last year and 2 ended up being roosters, and I rehomed them. I figured my chances of hatching a majority of roosters was slim, but these are the only 2 that successfully hatched from the 4 eggs my friend gave me. I have been very hands on with them since my broody hen rejected them, so hopefully they continue to be sweet as they mature. I am too attached to them to rehome them.

Feed store chicks!
My ten 'pullets' included three cockerels this year, and two breeds not mentioned on the bin. About right for feed store chicks in my experience. All are healthy at least, and one or two of the cockerels need to leave soon.
