The brown looks like a rooster and the white one looks like a EE or Ameraucauna hen. They are beautiful birds!! Have you named them yet?
smile.png

yes we've named them. the red roo is Ritter and the splash EE in question is Sonrise

Does it still look like a roo with these pictures?

I still think the splash is a hen, agree with pioneer chicken on the EE. Looks like you have a fine couple there!

The tail feathers are more narrower than the hens. I still stand that the splash is a roo. Yes, I've been wrong before LOL!

Lets wait and see if it is a pullet or roo. Either it lays an egg or starts crowing. Be sure to post when you know for sure!

You can also tell your sister that if the second one is an EE rooster it won't have a huge comb. They typically have pea combs so they won't look like the rooster on the Corn Flakes box.

On the EE...if its got a pea comb...it will never have a big comb...so comb size won't tell you much for gender! The feathers are more telling for pea combed birds. On that note....I'm not sure what your EE is...lol

dsqard...you posted while I was! lol
