Well, not sure what started it, maybe that scratch but it ended up being an infection. We started her with antibiotics we had at home to hold her off till monday. By monday she actually was a TON better. So now just have to finish up what antibiotics are prescribed. Its down to just being a bit red where she rubbed the skin off and you can barely tell anything was wrong. Thanks for all the advice guys.

This is not the place to look for answers, find an emergency vet clinic asap. This is NOT a rash, and if it's from an insect bite or a tooth abscess- time in imperative.

Glad the kitty is better. Did she actually ever see the vet? Or I mean, did he or she see her? What antibiotics is she on?
