This is how you weed your daylily beds for Spring "pics"

Looks a lot greener in SC than in NC! Nice pics. You have some beautiful chickens.

Beautiful flock!

I open bales of old hay in my garden for mulch and my chickens "work it" every day for months. By the time I'm ready to plant, they've broken it down across the entire garden and it's in little tiny pieces that I can use. Thanks girls!

It looks like you have two Roos there, the buff colored one in the first pic and the one facing away from the camera with the yellow feathering on his neck, he looks like my OEG bantam roo.

Actually he is not my rooster. He belongs to my neighbor down the road but he has decided to move.He doesn't roost with my chickens in their coops. The rascal flys up in the tree's behind the house and roost there. lol My chickens stay locked up except when I'm home on the weekends or a couple of hours each evening when the daylight hours are longer.

That was just a small portion of the flock.I have three coops for large fowl and one for bantams which I'm selling in a few weeks.I'm planning to make that pen a pure BBS one.The green you see is just weeds and the lawn is still brown.I usually put out weed and feed in the lawn the last week of Feb. since it will be greening up shortly.

There's actually a another roo and a hen that have joined him. They do the same thing and fly up on top of my coop and then fly up in the tree to roost.I guess they think the grass is greener on the other side. lol
