Just put the local police desk sargent phone number on speed dial and as soon as you see him. call in a prowler-tresspassing-non poop cleaning moron. after getting ticket after ticket he may get the picture.

We DO have a big, not so stranger friendly dog in the house. The dogs are many times the only reason I know the idiot is around.
If he came in the house it would be NOT a smart move...but then he doesnt seem like the brightest crayon in the box anyway.

If it was warmer, I would wait on the front porch with the dog and see what could be done that way.(Its actually amazing to me the guy even goes out in the deep freeze?????)
As far as the times he comes by, it never is any set time. We have caught him between 2 and 7 pm and around 5 am. The neighbors have seen him between 1 and 3 am.
Come to think of it, we have never seen him in the later morning hours. Probably tired from out prowling.Ack.

Oh. I AM calling every time I catch him now. Had enough.

In our town, that's illegal. BUT.....you have to prove it. The police will tell you to video tape it first. Not just once. Must be at least twice. Then you have a good case.

You should also be keeping a log and noting date/time he offends in this way. That could b useful. Also, are there other neighbors that have the same issue? If so, get on the same page with them and make a case out of it. And, as you say, call the police each time you see it....surely they'll get sick of the calls & actually DO something about it.

Sounds a bit fishy to me, not knowing who he is or where he belongs... If your getting red flags about him from your "gut instinct", you should heed warning. It's probably bad news. Try and get pics or a video if you can do so without being caught. Be safe.....

I dont have a video camera but do have a camera on my cell phone and intend on taking a pic as soon as I can.
I have been keeping a log of incidents, just started that recently.
I do know of one other set of neighbors that has had the same problems with him.
It IS weird that nobody seems to know who he is or where he comes from. Like I said, this is a small town, only around 400 people.
Yes, my gut instinct is telling me something is even more wrong than whats being observed. And since I still have a teenager at home, I have to do all I can for us to be safe.

Since this guy has been warned and keeps doing the same thing I would not retaliate with the poo like some have suggested. It would probably just result in him escalating his behavior. Maybe you can see if a friend can follow him to see where he lives? Might help when you need to call the cops if you have his address.

I think my camera probably DOES have video, I am not that great at technology so I will have my daughter check it out when she gets home. Thanks for bringing that up!!!

I DO worry about him escalating behavior. In the same breath, I HAVE to do something.

So log of "moron" sighting, keep police on speed dial, get a picture, if I stay here, build a fence. I guess I would put keep doors and windows locked on that list but I already do that...
