This is just bizarre,peoples morals?

Well, the strangest thing I'd ever had stole from me... I'd have to say that would be a pair of old boots that was settin on my boss's porch. I took 'em off to walk thru my boss's house (his wife aint to keen on cow crap bein drug through her house) and when we came out, they was gone. The dogs caint get to the porch (picket fence,) so I know it wasnt them, the only other folks around was a old cowhand, reckon he done it. Poor guy...

I can beat the old boots. I used to take 1 or 2 of the dogs to work with me every day. One day I walked 1 and left the bag holding the "doggie deposit" on the step outside work while I went inside to get the other dog. When I came out the bag was gone...for once a thief actually got what they deserved!!

Yeah... When Dash lived in LA before we were married he had his whites stolen out of the dryer at the laundromat. The facility was somewhat of a duplex with a beer joint next door. He'd started 2 loads of wash (whites & darks), had a "cold one", moved the loads to the dryers, and had 1 or 2 more "cold ones"... Imagine coming back to no whites (aka undershirts, boxers and socks). Who steals underwear?????

Hint to thieves... next time take the Polo golf shirts.

LMBO! I always kept looking on the streets of LA for my white frat shirt on some street person. Meh....live & learn. The cold ones were worth the loss. Tons of fun were had at Stick & Steins in El Segundo, CA. Met many LA Raiders at that hole in the wall.

I have WHAT in my yard? :

OK weird story but true.

Dh believes as you do that things are mostly just things. We've had things stolen from us - all of our porch furniture one night.... but DH is very generous. One day he found a woman stranded on the highway with her three little kids. No husband, no one to help her. He took them home and arranged for another friend to go fix her car. The next night he told me he really wanted this gas powered trimmer he had all picked out but would I mind if he used that money for that family instead? Of course I said yes so he went and bought $300 worth of groceries and left it at her door.

The next day the exact same gas trimmer he wanted literally landed on the road in front of him. Same brand, nearly new. He figured it fell off of some one's truck so he put up posters about it and told the police we had it. No one ever came to claim it. I am sure some one was angry about losing it, but it was sort of like a gift to DH - and he tried to find the owner.....

What goes around comes around.

Oh that is awesome!

I agree that karma rules the world. whenever something bad happens to me I try and shrug it off, payback for one of my many many many mistakes in life.

When we were moving from Kentucky to Virginia I had 2 seperate people try to seal my stuff as we were loading the moving van.

It was huge truck, with 2 movers, not a little rental van. Anyway I was bringing things outside and stacking them to make it go quicker. A lady pulled up and was walking off with my microwave! I got her before she made it to the car. Her response was she thought I was throwing it away. I told her it was beside a MOVING TRUCK to be loaded in and if she didn't get off my property I was calling the cops.

Later that same day 2 guys pulled up and tried something similar. Unbelievable, broad daylight with people trying to load a moving truck and people just drive up and try to walk off with your stuff.

I actually ended up standing guard while the guys went in and out of the house to load the truck.

That is sad that someone would steal a rake!

Recently someone stole a huge tour bus from a local bus company. The authorities and bus company are still trying to figure out how the thief pulled it off, as well as trying to find the bus, which was last known to be on the Indiana toll road.

One time my Grandma was babysitting my older brother, who was still in diapers, while Mom and Dad were at work. His diapers that day were very smelly, so Grandma put them outside in a bag. When she went to throw them in the trash, they were gone, so she thanked Mom for taking them out to the trash. Mom replied that she hadn't taken them to the trash.

We have often speculated since then at the surprise the thief got when he opened that bag.

Last year I had my pretty solar lights stolen from my front yard. Some college student must have them hanging in their dorm room. I have to say it's rare that I've had things taken, & my neighborhood is right by the University. We have people coming and going all day and sometimes late at night. And, except for my lights, nothing has disappeared yet. Also, yesterday my wallet somehow fell out of my purse at the fabric store. It took me until after they were closed to discover it was gone. I canceled my debit cards and imagined my wallet forlorn in a gutter, picked up by some disreputable person. Well, this morning I stopped by the fabric store and sure enough someone had turned it in. The lovely person and employees even left the $200 in cash that was in it (the week's grocery money).

I think most people are perfectly honest, but those few that aren't sure do make a nuisance of themselves. I mean, a doggy doo rake? Really? that is ridiculous!
