Zeena and Zander have had eggs incubating for 30+ days. It's been cool here except for a day or two, so if they are fertile, I anticipate a hatch closer to the 35 day mark if at all. They are young geese and this is their first clutch. Zeena has ben great about staying on her nest.
The last two days on checking on them (trying not to freak them) I heard a very loud pecking! I was sure the eggs were hatching, but on watching closer, I saw that Zeena was making this sound. Do mamas make this sound to urge the babies to hatch? She keeps doing it!
