I've been saying it like Pull Let. Is that right. Eggcetra, thanks for that link but I don't understand that pronunciation (way bad spelling) stuff.

I just went and bought a book called back yard chickens, so at least now I know what a pullet is! Now I know why when I called a feed store and asked if they had any girl pullets the man on the phone snikkered. Live and learn.

Good Q! Here, it's pronouned "PULL -it", not "POO -let".

What do you call hatchlings: chicks, biddies, or dibbies?
Where I grew up in GA, we called hatchlings either chicks or biddies.
Hubby grew up in the Greenville area of SC and he always heard hatchlings called dibbies (which was new to me).
